Fake vs Real RAZ
RAZ’s popularity made it a counterfeit target. Here’s how to make sure the TN9000 in your hand is the real one.
Why it matters
A fake RAZ TN9000 can hit weaker, taste wrong and skip the quality control that legitimate brands run. The device might look right on a shelf, so it pays to know the tells.
1. Verify the unit
Genuine RAZ packaging includes authentication you can check. Look for the verification code or QR and confirm it through the brand’s channel. No verification, or a code that fails, is your first and biggest red flag.
2. Read the packaging
- Print — crisp, correctly colored text and logos. Blurriness or off shades signal a copy.
- Fine print — typos, odd fonts or missing warnings are common on fakes.
- Seal — sloppy shrink wrap or a rattly device is a warning.
3. Check the screen and build
The TN9000’s display and solid feel are hard to fake cleanly. A screen that looks wrong, a light or hollow shell, or performance that is off compared to a known-real unit all point to counterfeit.
4. Be suspicious of rock-bottom prices
A TN9000 priced way under everyone else is the oldest sign in the book. Real pricing is fairly consistent shop to shop; a mystery-cheap unit is usually cheap for a reason.
